From overwhelm to healing, I am here to support you on every step of your journey. Every feeling, every season, and every part of you is welcome here.
Hi, I’m Glennys Rodriguez.
My Approach
It takes so much courage to take the first steps towards meaningful change, and there are any number of reasons you may have landed here: past trauma, a major life transition, loss of any kind, feeling down or anxious, an uncertain future, parenting struggles, work stress. I am here to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in which you feel safe to explore what’s weighing on your heart. Together we can open the door for growth, insight, and positive change.
I focus on building a relationship with you first and foremost - initial sessions are about creating meaningful connection, and I prioritize building rapport and trust. I show up as my authentic self - no robotic head nodding here! My goal is to create a virtual therapy space that feels safe and comforting where you leave each session feeling supported and understood.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals and couples using an integrative approach of evidence based modalities including ACT, Relational Therapy, Complicated Grief Therapy, and mindfulness based practices. While I may be the expert in this room, you are the expert in your life, and I will tailor your therapy to fit your specific needs and goals.
My Background
My journey to becoming a therapist was not linear. After receiving my undergraduate degree in Business and Psychology , I spent nearly a decade developing sales teams with a major retailer. Over time I found myself less fulfilled with my work and more consistently drawn towards helping those around me with their personal and family issues. The strong desire to provide an empathetic ear and nonjudgemental support led me to pivot and become a licensed therapist, a new direction that felt exactly right with every step. It has led to a meaningful career, one where I'd be honored to witness your story and support you in creating purposeful change in your life.
Outside of being a therapist, I am a wife and mother of two sons. I enjoy cooking, reading, and gathering friends and family to share a meal. I am a military spouse and love to travel, which has worked to my benefit as we have been fortunate enough to live in multiple states and countries. I am intimately aware of the joys and challenges that come with military lifestyles and parenthood. For right now Oahu is home, and on the weekends you can catch me at the beach or planning a neighborhood dinner.
